St. Simons Island is a quaint village on the Atlantic Ocean that boasts huge live oaks dripping with Spanish moss, marshland views and nature at its best. This historic place has excellent restaurants and wonderful shops as well as bicycle trails, golf courses and tennis courts. The beach itself is very wide, ideal for walking, biking, flying kites, playing games or just relaxing. The famous King and Prince Resort was voted "Georgia's Favorite Beach Resort" by the readers of Southern Living. You can affordably stay at this resort in this beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath ocean view condominium which is tastefully decorated with comfort in mind. The balcony features wonderful views and ocean breezes. The condominium complex offers a private pool, hot tub, gas grills and secure, gated parking. The unit has its own assigned covered parking space. Our guests can walk to the village and the pier on the beach or back roads. Some of the best restaurants on the island and bike rental are located just a couple of blocks from the unit.
You will have access to all of the King and Prince Resort amenities including pools and jacuzzi, outdoor gas grills, the Echo Dining Room in the lobby of the King & Prince Hotel, fitness room, tennis courts, business center, and access to Hampton Golf Course.

Family weekend

So good in July, we came back in August
by Recent GuestWe booked a last minute stay for the 4th in this unit after reading the reviews. I was a little nervous, but thought it should be fine for a 4 night stay. This unit is not updated with premium finishes and the furniture is lacking in the living room (as shown in photos, although some are out of date). However, this unit is reasonably furnished, clean, with all fixtures in proper working order, great A/C and good stackable W/D. We did not have any trouble charging iPhones, although the WiFi was slow if you need to work a little while there. The partial ocean view from the patio is a nice place to enjoy the crashing waves at the end of the day. We appreciate little extras like clothing hangars, extra towels and a comfortable Sterns and Foster mattress on the pull out sofa. We decided to return for another long weekend before school started and found repairs had been made to the cracked glass by front door & the rug in LR was new. We reported having trouble with the entry door keys when we checked out, so I hope they will resolve that issue for future guests. I do wish they would transition to electronic locks. The amenities at K&P are great. Not too stuffy, but nice old hotel charm. There is good variety at the pools with ample seating and key card access keeps it relatively exclusive to guests. We enjoyed several good meals at Echo and the poolside bar with attentive service. Overall, this unit feels a lot like you've gone to stay at a Great Aunt's place - it would benefit from some modernizing, but it functions fine in current form. Rental rate is fair. We would stay again and recommend to friends for a beach retreat.
