Good Tides has it all! Just steps from the most attractive beach entrances on East Beach, this spacious (3100+ square feet) one-level home has a large pool and multiple indoor and outdoor areas for relaxing and entertaining. Recently renovated, Good Tides accommodates six in its three bedrooms plus 1-2 children on a small sleeper couch in the primary bedroom. A pair of twin-sized air mattresses provide additional sleeping space. There is plenty of room to spread out for ‘alone time’ or to come together for meals, playing games, or watching TV and movies. The delightful fan-cooled cabana provides a shady place to sit poolside.
East Beach is the most desirable neighborhood on Saint Simons Island. Bounded on one side by dunes and a beautiful sandy beach facing the Atlantic Ocean and on the other by scenic marsh where shore birds feed and nest, the community is just minutes by car, bike, or golf cart from the award-winning restaurants, shops and nightlife of The Village with its historic fishing pier and lighthouse and the new “Fun Zone” water park. The landmark King and Prince Hotel and its surrounding shops and restaurants are even nearer, just a short walk away. Renting a moped, golf cart or bike to get around is very easy.

Wonderful home with pool in East Beach

This place was amazing. The location can’t be beat. We rented a golf cart to ride to dinner each night. It is super convenient to the beach too. The pool was a huge hit with our family. I especially loved the Asian art and decor. It didn’t feel cookie cutter at all! I wouldn’t hesitate to book this home again.

Great relaxing time
by Recent GuestThe home was well equipped with all you need, the pool was great as well. The usage of the wagon and beach items made the beach easy to enjoy. Make sure you look at the recommendations list it was helpful for dining options. We would recommend Crabdaddy’s and Palmer’s Village Cafe!

Amazing house - Pictures don’t do it justice!

by David N.Very very nice property...clean and comfortable. Pool was perfect for the kids. It was a little challenging getting tbe kids to the beach even though its just a long block away as you have to go through a wooded dune. The beach is wide, clean and spectacular once you get there!
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Good Tides and that you come back to visit! We have an information book located in the property that has information like local restaurants, things to do, and access to the beach. In case you come back to St. Simons Island, the nearest beach access is on 11th Street, which has a lovely shaded entry under trees and then through the dunes. If you prefer less walking in deep sand, use the 12th Street entrance or walk north along Bruce Drive to Gould’s Inlet (at 15th Street), where there is a small amount of public parking and a hose for foot-washing. Each beach entrance is unique and each is beautiful! Gould’s Inlet is a favorite spot for bird watchers. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance in the future.

by Recent GuestNice house in good location. Convenient to beach and restaurants. Enjoyed having pool. Good floor plan for family vacation. Only complaint is master bedroom needs blind or curtain, rather than free standing screen, over sliding glass door. Screen did not block out all light or provide adequate privacy.
So glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the thoughtful review. We are of aware of the light & privacy issue in the master bedroom. The owner's are planning on redecorating and getting blinds or curtains for the sliding glass door is on their list. By the 2019 rental season the house will be substantially redecorated and better than ever. We look forward to having you back again.
