Great house, nicely furnished kitchen, modern appliances. Loved that we could walk to the Village and to the beach. Georgia Coast Realty was so helpful and easy to work with. The master shower did not drain quickly and they sent someone over very quickly to fix it!

Can't wait to visit again
by RDThe house is beautiful and sits comfortably in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from downtown restaurants and shopping. The beds and pillows range in comfort. Some are firm and some are softer. Back porch was delightful as we spent alot of time there. Kitchen was nice and spacious, fully equipped with cooking. equipment and utensils. If we vacation again in St Simons I would definitely rent this beautiful home again.

Saint Simon Island Vacation

My family and I had a great time vacationing in St.Simon Island.We liked the rental home and it fits our family needs perfectly.I would like to mention the property needs some attention. The screen door , screen broke out,master shower very slow in draining, back yard still had same trash up,against the house it had last year and could use painting especially outside around pool area.

Rented this through VRBO - should have rented just through GA Coast Realty’s website. We were charged a $499.00 booking/service fee from VRBO and also charged a booking/service fee from GA Coast Realty. The fee from VRBo was a separate fee, not applied to the total cost of the rental.

The Almost Perfect Beach House

Our annual St. Simon's trip included 9 adults this year and this house was almost perfect. There was space for everyone, comfy beds, loved the sofa on the back porch, and the pool was a perfect place to cool off after a long day at the beach. Location is an easy walk to village center and we chose to get beach chairs at King and Prince this year which was a quick 5 minute bike ride (plus they had free car parking for those who complained about riding bikes :)) The only thing lacking in this home is a large enough space to gather to eat. With 9 of us, the only place we could have a meal together was on the back screened-in porch. Its a great space but we had to bring in the pool chairs for enough seating, at night we had to bring some lamps outside to help see and on muggy nights, it would have been great to have been able to eat inside. There is very little storage space for grocery items and pots and pans which made for a little bit of disorganization in the kitchen but, oh well, it's St. Simon's and there are great restaurants a couple of blocks away. Half of our stove was not functioning for the entirety of our stay and the refrigerator was woefully inadequate (it tried) and the management company was very responsive to our concerns and did attempt to fix the issue. Also, there is no garage. I'm sure the listing states this but having a place to store some beach items would be a plus as well as an outdoor shower. None of these items would keep me from renting this house again, they just kept it from being perfect.

Wonderful Home!

This was our first time visiting St Simon's and it was a fantastic trip, in large part due to the home where we stayed. It is spacious, clean and comfortable, and close to everything. We rented bikes and rode all over the island as well as walked into the shopping area and parks. This house is situated just blocks from the beach (with easy parking & bike access). Beaches and town were never crowded. House has high ceilings with 3 large doors that open to the screened back porch, where we stayed most evenings. Pool was cleaned twice during the week. Beautiful setting in a lovely neighborhood that is so convenient to everything without being on a main road. We hope to stay here again.

This was a wonderful trip for our family! The house was comfortable for the 8 of us. We specifically liked that there were plenty of adult size bedding! Overall the house was in great condition. Our visit was in the height of a pollen bloom so the porch areas were very dusty and not as usable as we had hoped. The pool was excellent! Loved being able to step outside and relax in the pool and sun. The kitchen did not have as much space as I thought from the pictures but was very usable. We cooked most all of our meals here and figured out how to best utilize the facilities. Suggestions would be more porch seating and a deep clean for the porch especially. Also the kitchen needs more than one towel. We had one issue with the gas grill and management handled it immediately. They were also very responsive to any questions we had prior to arrival!

519 Bartow
by Will D.519 Bartow was a great home to spend time in on Vacation. Everything was easy to walk too restaurant , night life, parks and beach. I would stay again. Had some maintenance issues with the pool- it happens. However, manage was very accommodating with out requesting them to be. I will rent 519 Bartow again, can’t wait.

Everything is great - except the beds

We have stayed in this house 3 or 4 times. We love the location, the layout of the house and the private pool. Every bedroom has its own private bath. But the master bedroom only has a queen bed and it is extremely uncomfortable. We would expect a king size bed with a better quality mattress in a house this nice. One of the other beds was also uncomfortable according to our guest. If the beds were replaced we would highly recommend this house.

The Giant's House

My family of 5 adults and 3 small children had a lovely time at this house. My grandchildren named it the Giant's house because of the high ceilings and large features. It fit us very well. We loved the porch and ate on it every night. We loved that each room had a private bath. We elected to heat the pool for the little ones and it was very comfortable. The air temperature was perfect. We found the location helpful as it was near the village and yet beach access was not far. Due to the virus, we stayed at the house a great deal. We did venture out, but not as much as we have in the past. We stayed 10 days, and did not get cabin fever. As far as improvements that could be made, my husband said the grill only half worked and he needed more grill tools. My son in law said he needed to be able to lock the the master bathroom. But we were more than happy with everything else.

Our family of 4 had more than enough room to spread out in this spacious home. Great location to pier and east beach. And we loved the pool! We rented a golf cart to go to and from the beach. Beds could have been more comfortable.

Beautiful home in a great, quiet, location

Fantastic home with an excellent layout and close to the village.It’s a shame to point out the lack of attention to detail regarding the cleanliness of the house. Overall, it was clean however the oven hood looked like it had never been cleaned with a heavy coat of dust on it. Glass Light fixtures appeared the same way in the entry-way (two lights) and the kitchen (very large fixture).The home is still fantastic but for the price, the above items should have been remedied. Saltwater pool that was very comfortable in temperature.Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location and a pool!

This was a great house to spend time with family during the 4th of July. The floor plan was good and allowed everyone to have their own space. A few issues with the home: upon arrival beds were not made and pile of laundry sitting by the washer, which was all taken care of immediately after placing a call to the realtor. Overall the house needs a thorough cleaning, rugs/carpets need to be cleaned and various maintenance issues taken care of. The grill was rusted out and needs to be replaced. We had planned a cookout on the 4th and were not able to. The location of the home and fact it has a pool are the selling features here. No TVs in the front 2 bedrooms. Nice master, kitchen and porch. Time spent with family was the main thing and walkable to Mallery, pier, lighthouse and the fireworks on the 4th. Overall nice house and great time!

Coastal Luxury Near the Village

We loved our stay at 519 Bartow in St. Simons. The house was beautiful and comfortable for a family of six to stay on SSI. The screened in porch with a ping pong table and the pool were big hits with the kids and adults. The kitchen was great to cook in, when we did not go out to eat. It is an easy walk to the Village and we enjoyed our stay very much.
